i’m watching all your videos. i’m not done yet so i might answer the question i have ina future episode. but, something i’m wondering about this particular project. If the bark is on the side like that, it means that you are turning end grain ? or is there something i’m missing there ? if you have any more details to give concerning these natural edges bowls, i’d appreciate. they are so incredible ! MERCI !

    I want your job. Badly.

  7. haydenHD says:

@gardengirlbc It eliminates the sanding dust. I like a satin finish so I use the wax as my final finish. The wax and oil actually keeps the sand paper clean and dose a much better job than dry.

  8. gardengirlbc says:

what exactly does the mix of oil and wax on sandpaper do??? how does that sand any tearing?

  9. haydenHD says:

@laverty22 mineral oil and paste wax. 10 parts paste wax and 1 part mineral oil.

What is that you are putting on your sandpaper???

  11. haydenHD says:

Hello, still enjoying your videos. You use the tools differently than others I have watched and do very nice work so there is more than one way to do things. What is the reason you sand with the mineral oil/paste wax mixture? I always sand and then put on any wax or oil finish after. Thanks.
