This is the last part of a short documentary movie that shows the whole process of how the John Neeman tools are being hand crafted. “It is a tragedy of the first magnitude that millions of people have ceased to use their hands as hands. Nature has bestowed upon us this great gift which is our hands. If the craze for machinery methods continues, it is highly likely that a time will come when we shall be so incapacitated and weak that we shall begin to curse ourselves for having forgotten the use of the living machines given to us by God.” Mahathma Ghandi Please visit us: Contact us:

Your Questions About Woodworking Tools

Steven asks…

I need to build a workbench?

I’m an amateur woodsmith and my next project is to build a decent workbench. I don’t have a lot of tools or money for materials but want a solid bench. Does anyone know where I can find plans for a bench of this nature. I’ve surfed the diy sites and woodworking sites and all i find are extremely complicated plans. Thanks.

Denny answers:

There are some easy plans on these sites:

Good luck…

Lizzie asks…

Is this too much? I have a new BF of a month or so and we are exchanging Christmas gifts. I got him a gift?

card to Lowes (he loves woodworking), offered to take him to a local museum that has a woodworking tool exhibit, told him I’d pay for a woodworking seminar at a local shop, got him Jet Li’s “Fearless” DVD and made his family cookies. Uh, now I’m thinking that’s overkill. He hasn’t even given me my gift yet. Was it too much? Guys, what would you think if you were him?

16 yr old bro- He’d loved this funny scary t-shirt ($19.95)

7 year old twin little brothers- These lego walkie talkies will be a hit with your brothers! They’ll be forced to share them which ensures that you don’t have to get them each an individual present. Very hard wood with a beautiful grain that finished up nicely. This is great fast gift idea for dried or fresh flowers when you have a glass vial to insert. These can be found most local craft stores.

Your Questions About Carpenter Tools

Ruth asks…

( Tool men or Carpenters ) women too. I spent all my gift money on 1 Item, now I feel guilty?

I am a master carpenter. I have a table saw, now I bought a nice router 185.00 with my Christmas & birthday cash. But I feel guilty cause I really don’t have to have it. it would be something I can make cool things with. also I don’t know how often I’ll use it realistically.
takes time and $ for wood etc. I thought of saving the $ to maybe put it towards a new TV or something more sensible. I couldn’t pass up the deal because it has a $30.00 rebate which makes it a good deal. Ever since I quit drinking 12 years ago, decisions seem a lot harder. I don’t know why.
By master I just meant I am darn good. 35 years
in construction business. and the router was for a toy to make things when I wanted. you don’t need a router to build a house! and who said it was my 1st one? my 1st one is older than some of you clowns that answered rudely, then disappeared. master is a figure of speach. did you ever hear of a master Doctor? no, they are practicing. there is always something to learn from someone, so lighten up. If you need advice or questions I would be happy to help. I know I or no one is a master, because things change all the time. so put that in your pipe and smoke it.
I am disapointed at some of the accusations made towards me and cocky remarks. also happy for the polite answers.

Dusty answers:

I feel guilty about buying stuff for myself too. Think of it this way, you got a good deal and on it and I’m sure you’ll put it to good use. Now if you were just going to let it sit and collect dust, then that is another story. If it is going to put a strain on your budget though, maybe you should take it back and save up for it. If not, then just enjoy it and don’t feel guilty!

Thomas asks…

Are there any flowers that you could give to a man?

Well, people thinks that flowers are for women, that roses are sweet, tulip is cute, etc. I wonder if there’s a flower or a plant that would be good to give to guys on valentine’s day.

Does giving your boyfriend a basket of various tropical fruit would be better than a bouquet of roses?

Does giving your boyfriend a log of pine wood with carpenter‘s tool for valentine’s day would be better than a handful of tulips?

Or perhaps, there are flowers that would be perfect to be given to a man?

Dusty answers:

If a man wanted me to feel fondly toward him, he’d give me carnations.

Richard asks…

what are the tools use by carpenters?

Dusty answers:

In no particular oder:

Hammers, rip saw, cross cut saw, coping saw, mortoise saw, dovetail saw, sawing board, chisels, mallet, gouges, brace, drill, plane, rebate plane, rule, straight-edge, measuring tape, marking gauge, square, level, dovetail marker, wood turning lathe, clamps, vise, work-bench, scrapers, sandpaper, screwdrivers, spokeshaves, routers, brushes.

Lisa asks…

What to get my family for christmas?

Dad-carpenter duzent want tools he is tired of tools i really dont know what he wants for christmas he loves to come from work and sit and watch tv and relax
Mom- loves to cook and relax all day
12 yr old sister-loves drama
3 yr old sister-loves anything like animals and loves to climb stuff

So any suggustions to buy gifts every gift needs to be under 101$

Dusty answers:

Get your dad you could get him a snuggie or just a really big blanket, because i know my dad is a larger built man who is always complaining about too small of blankets ( king sized blanket). About $30

For your mother possibly some new cook wear, pots, pans,( knowing my mom always needs new cook wear, its one of those things you want/need but dont feel you have the money to buy yourself). About $40

for your 12 year old sister maybe some cool masks with the glitter and feathers. Like from Pier One

For the three year old try a pillow pet i know that my kids love them. Link bellow
